Vplanes is a fairly new business with a small staff compliment. A two man
team has now grown to an 11 man / women team over the past 4 years. Issues
are resolved in-house without union intervention.
Vplanes primary employs individuals in the IT sectors. A certain level of
IT experience is required. Further training is offered in-house.
SUPPLIERS
Vplanes is primarily software based. Purchasing of stock is kept to a minimal
on a day to day. However purchase costs may arise should a customer require
IT equipment along with the software. We then incur hardware costs directly
in this situation and bill the customer on completion of the project.
There are an abundance of local suppliers of IT equipment with immediate
turnaround times. Our supplier terms are COD and 30 Days.

Most customers are dependent on our software since a certain level of customization

Africa with men and women footwear along
with retailing to their very own retail chain called AWOL. The Vplanes
software is run across all of the retail stores as well as head office.
Vplanes offers a unique bi-directional synchronization process that allows
disconnected stores to synchronize data effortlessly.
Our current prospects include a 42 store retail giant that have shown interest
in the systems synchronization capabilities to manage their clothing / footwear
chain. We will be providing for online and offline accounting and point
of sale processes to this prospective customer. A recent closure was JHB
Bearings who will be utilizing the cross branch capabilities on Vplanes
along with the advanced lookup functionality across its massive 46000 item
inventory.
The level of control and unique bi-directional synchronization method we
provide is becoming increasingly popular amongst customers. Vplanes provides
great solutions for both SME and large business customers seeking high level
control and integration into their existing infrastructure.
The Market
Vplanes is currently targeting the National markets which are easier to
support and maintain. Our future plans include targeting businesses on an
international level however our current infrastructure has not grown enough
to support international deals. The South African market is currently developing
at an amazing pace. The need for new software or simply upgrading
existing software is growing.
Most customers look to upgrade however are held back by certain functionality
required and not being available in most commercial products. We provide
this functionality in the form of custom development. We are then able to
provide existing and future customers with the same functionality in the
form of upgrades and new releases.

customers have maximum functionality and are more efficient in their business.
Vplanes offers certain functionality that requires more complex and difficult
programming. Major framework changes cannot be made in most commercial
software of today to replicate this functionality; in most a cases, a complete
re-write of a multi-million rand software solution is required.
